For National Smile Month the children have been learning all about how to care for their teeth. The children have practiced toothbrushing on paper as well as on dolls, the children have talked about foods which are good and bad for our teeth and have took part in an interview with a dentist. Children have also enjoyed setting up a dentist in the role play area.
We celebrated Eid across the nursery and afterschool in various different ways. Some rooms chose to make artworks of the Islamic symbol, some made some lanterns, others talked about the special feast which is held on Eid and made some delicious foods to celebrate. We all enjoyed learning about Eid and celebrating in our own special ways.
The children enjoyed celebrating St George's Day by wearing red and white to nursery. We also made some flags and castles to celebrate!
We had lots of fun celebrating the Queen's birthday on 21st April. We celebrated by making crowns, birthday cards and our very own castles. We then celebrated by having a fantastic party in the garden complete with party snacks and music. We all had a fantastic day!
We had lots of special events planned for the Easter holiday this year! We had lots of fun celebrating with the Easter Bunny, doing our own Easter egg hunts, a bonnet parade and lots of fun activities in children's individual rooms.
Oh what fun we had for Holi Festival! We celebrated the day by having our own paint festival in the garden! All children enjoyed looking at the colours, making patterns with the paint, exploring the textures and most of all having lots of fun!
