Your child’s safety is of paramount importance to us. We actively look to minimise the risk and take the best possible care for all children we are responsible for. Our premises are monitored by 24 hour CCTV cameras and the building is fully alarmed. Parents/carers can only access the building via a CCTV buzzer system in which a member of staff will check the identity of the parent/carer before giving them access into the building. If for any reason you are unable to collect your child and you require a third party to come instead, that person must be nominated as someone authorised to collect your child on your application pack, and you must provide a password and a description of that person. If staff are not made aware of this by prior notice then they will not allow that person to collect your child and you will be contacted.
All staff are carefully selected and recruited using our Safer Recruitment Policy with Enhanced DBS Disclosures being carried out on all staff before they are allowed to be left unsupervised with the children. All staff are qualified and experienced staff and attend Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding Children, Food Hygiene and Health and Safety training on a regular basis.
The staff are not allowed to have their mobile telephones on their person at any time whilst in work and the phones must remain locked in their personal lockers until they leave the building at the end of their shift. We ask the same for parents in that mobile phones are not allowed to be switched on whilst in the building.
Kelton Nursery has a strict NO SMOKING Policy and smoking is not permitted anywhere within the premises.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
